Founded Bizseek, Inc. in 1999, which was sold to Rakuten, Inc. in 2001. In 2003, he joined Rakuten due to the merger of Bizseek and Rakuten, and was appointed Corporate Officer in charge of auctions and launched Rakuten Eagles. Left Rakuten in 2006 and independently enhanced business in areas such as investments to start-up companies and consulting.

Acted as Corporate Adviser to Rakuten from 2009 to 2012.
Founded Crocos, Inc. in 2011, which he sold to Yahoo Japan Corporation in 2012 and joined the company at the same time. From 2013 is responsible for Yahoo! Shopping as Corporate Officer of Yahoo Japan. Appointed Managing Corporate Officer, President of Commerce Company in April 2018 and supervises ecommerce, travel and finance businesses. Appointed Director EVP, Senior Managing Corporate Officer, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Yahoo Japan in October 2019.
Concurrently serves as Chairman of the Board of Ikyu Corporation.
