As Vice President of Sales, Kumiko Shimamoto is responsible for developing our business in East Asia and managing our office in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

Prior to this position, Kumiko worked in the Getty Images London office as the Senior Director of Editorial Sales and Media Management Services for Europe and has been responsible for the strong growth of our editorial sales in the U.K., Germany and Spain.

Kumiko joined Getty Images through an acquisition of image.net Ltd. where she was the Director of Global Sales. Prior to image.net, Kumiko set up a computer game development studio in Manchester which focused on motor sports, where she gained experience in sports licensing. Before moving to the U.K., Kumiko worked for Osaka Gas in Japan developing a business park in central Kyoto.

Kumiko holds a B.A. from Kobe University (Japan) and an M.A. from the University of Manchester (U.K.).
